Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Thursday Brown Bag Concert Series will begin June 4 with The Beer Bellies. The concerts are free and open to the public.

The concerts in the series, co-sponsored by Downtown Lawrence Inc., will be from noon to 1 p.m. each Thursday in front of U.S. Bank, 900 Massachusetts St., except for shows on June 11 and July 30, which will take place outside the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. The series, featuring local bands, will include:

June 4: The Beer Bellies

June 11: Billy Ebeling and the Late for Dinner Band (at the library)

June 18: Rural Harmony Band

June 25: BRC Sounds

July 2: Spirit Dancer – Dennis Rogers

July 9: Lonnie Ray Blue’s Band

July 16: Borderline Country

July 23: Rhythmia

July 30: Sideways Glance (at the library)

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be at Watkins Community Museum, 1047 Massachusetts St.
