The Citizen Advisory Committee approved an official name for what has been referred to as the Ninth Street Corridor Project. The project, which will be a complete renovation of the Ninth Street thoroughfare from Massachusetts Street east to Delaware Street, will now be known as the East Ninth Project.

The meetings are open to the public and offer residents a chance to touch base with project planners on ongoing designs to make over the East Lawrence street.

The project design team presented a draft of its work plan to the committee Wednesday evening, but the meeting adjourned before formal recommendations could be made.

The committee plans to meet again in a week to continue discussion of the draft of the work plan and put forth its recommendations. The meeting will take place June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Public Library auditorium, 707 Vermont St.
