Five city baseball players earned first-team All-Sunflower League honors for their play this season.

Free State seniors Cooper Karlin (second base), Joel Spain (outfield) and Casey Hearnen (closer), along with junior Hunter Gudde (pitcher) and Lawrence High senior Michael Sinks (shortstop) were picked for the top team.

The following Free State players also earned an honorable mention: Jackson Flynn, Trevor Munsch, Jon Saathoff and Tripp Wright. Honorable mention choices from LHS were Ivan Hollins, Nick Haynes, Zak McAlister, Daonte Lowery and Nyle Anderson.
