Amy McAnarney named assistant principal at Free State High School

Amy McAnarney, assistant principal of curriculum, instruction and assessment at Emporia High School, has been named the new assistant principal at Free State High School, the Lawrence school district said in a release.

McAnarney has worked as assistant principal at Emporia High for the past seven years, the release said. Previously, she worked as an intermediate principal in Emporia for six years, as a middle school assistant principal in Gardner for one year and as an English teacher in Emporia for eight years.

McAnarney holds a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and a master’s degree from Emporia State University.
