Aquahawks openings: The Aquahawks are always accepting new members. The Aquahawks are a year-round USA Swimming-sponsored competitive swim team. Youth CrossFit camp: A Jayhawker CrossFit youth camp for youths aged 12-18 will be held 2-3:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays in June ($155) and July ($175). Both months together cost $300. KU women’s camps: New Kansas University women’s basketball coach Brandon Schneider will hold four camps this summer. 3-on-3 Summer Basketball League: Called To Greatness 3 on 3 basketball league concentrates on working together, persevering, handling pressure and encouraging one anther as a team of three. Trail run: The Lawrence Trail Hawks will host the inaugural “Night Hawk 50k (31-mile) Night Trail Run,” Saturday, June 13, on Clinton Lake’s North Shore Trails. The Lawrence Trail Hawks are Lawrence’s original trail- and ultra-running club. The Night Hawk begins and ends at the Army Corps of Engineers’ Overlook Park, in Clinton Lake State Park. The marked course consists of 3 laps of about 10.3 miles each on the rocky, root-bound trails of Clinton Lake’s north shore trail system. The race begins at 6 p.m., with race-day registration and check-in starting at 5 p.m. Runners will have 10 hours to complete the course, and are required to have headlamps, hand-held lights or other lighting systems to participate. Football camp: Lawrence Youth Football will have a free youth football camp on Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9 from 6-8 p.m. on Football Fields 3 and 4 at Youth Sports Complex 4911 W. 27.
