Overland Park ? Lawrence High’s girls soccer team lost, 5-0, against Shawnee Mission West in the first round of regionals on Monday at the Shawnee Mission Activity Complex.

“It’s tough to lose, but the heart, the drive and the things the girls were doing in the second half were fun to watch,” LHS coach Justin Young said. “It was one of the most complete games they put together this year against a really good opponent.”

The Lions trailed 3-0 at halftime before creating some chances in the second half. They ended the season with a 4-13 record.
