Today in Lawrence: Gray skies and ‘innumerable anxieties’

Gray’s anatomy

The weekend will kick off with lots of clouds and another chance for rain — but at least it will be warmer (and muggy). By 9 a.m., temperatures should already be in the 70s, with the best chance for thundershowers coming this afternoon between 2 and 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Topeka. Saturday will be muggy with a high of 77, followed by a breezy Sunday with temperatures in the 80s.

‘Innumerable Anxieties’

Take a free moment this weekend to check out a new exhibit at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St. Artist Patrick Duegaw’s “Innumerable Anxieties” opens tonight at 7 p.m., with a 1 p.m. art talk Saturday. Lawrence.com profiled Duegaw last week, and you can learn more about the artist and find other great stuff to do this weekend in Larryville Life’s smart roundup.
