FSHS baseball leads O-North

? Free State High’s baseball team was leading 6-3 over Olathe North on Tuesday before the game was suspended because of inclement weather at the Olathe District Activity Complex.

The Firebirds rallied in the top of the seventh inning to tie the contest, 3-3, when sophomore Zion Bowlin reached on a fielder’s choice and scored on a two-out RBI double from senior Cooper Karlin.

In the eighth inning, sophomore Jacob Pavylak and senior Casey Hearnen hit RBI singles. Hearnen also scored on a wild pitch. The game was suspended with the Firebirds still batting, one out and runners on second and third.

The two schools will try to complete the game today.
