Leavenworth ? Lawrence High’s softball team picked up its first win of the season with a 16-1 rout of Leavenworth on Tuesday.

Senior pitcher Megan Sumonja struck out 12 in five innings while giving up just two hits and one run. On offense, Amber Flummerfelt went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI, while Morgan Byrn went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and Jolona Shield was 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs. Sami Mills also added three hits and four runs.
