San Diego ? Kansas University’s Yupaporn Kawinpakorn and Gabriella DiMarco each won their matches, but the Jayhawks fell to Cal, 3-2, in the first round of the SDSU Farms Invitational on Monday.

Kawinpakorn beat Cal’s Marthe Wold, 5 and 3, and DiMarco edged Carly Childs, 2 and 1, but Jayhawks Minami Levonowich, Pornvipa Sakdee and Kallie Gonzales lost their matches.

KU will face New Mexico today.
