Library to host Kansas Linux Fest

The Lawrence Public Library will host the first Kansas Linux Fest this month.

Linux is a computer operating system that can be used as an alternative to Windows or Apple OSX.

Training programs, presentations and workshops will take place between March 21 and March 22 to educate the public on the less-widespread operating system.

The conference, which will be run by Free/Libre Open Source, Open Knowledge Association of Kansas and the Lawrence Linux User group, is free to attend. Hours will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 21 and noon to 6 p.m. on March 22.

A full schedule can be found at kansaslinuxfest.us.
