Bill Glass, a 1956 All-American football player at Baylor and an 11-year veteran of the NFL, will speak at 7 p.m. today at Stony Point Hall, south of Lawrence, as part of the Veritas Showcase, an event put on by Veritas Christian School.

Glass started a ministry after he retired from the NFL. He counsels young men and women in prisons and has written books, including, “Champions for Life: The Power of a Parent’s Blessing.”

“He has a captivating message about the power of parents, particularly fathers, on the trajectory of children and their futures,” said Carol Rau, director of development at Veritas Christian.
