Kansas tennis upends Iowa, 4-1

Kansas University won the doubles point, then won three singles matches to thump Iowa, 4-1, in women’s tennis Monday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

Maria Jose Cardona-Maria Belen Ludueña won at No. 1 doubles, and Alexis Czapinski-Summer Collins won at No. 3 to secure the doubles point.

Ludueña won at No. 2 singles, Smith Hinton at No. 3 and Madison Harrison at No. 4 to clinch it.

Kansas will open Big 12 play Friday, when it hosts Texas Tech. Match time is 3:30 p.m at JTC.
