Lafayette, La. ? Kansas University freshman Daniel Hudson is tied for fourth, and the Jayhawks are fifth in the team race after the first day Monday of the Louisiana Classics Men’s Golf Invitational at Oakbourne Country Club.

Hudson shot a two-round 4-under 140 and is three strokes off the lead.

Other KU scores: Chase Hanna, tied for 21st, 145; Brock Drogosch and Spencer Painton (individual), tied for 26th, 146; Connor Peck, tied for 35th, 147; and Ben Welle, tied for 43rd, 148.
