The Lawrence Raiders lost to Next Level Baseball, 8-6, in youth baseball Sunday at Free State High.

The Raiders scored four runs in the top of the fifth to take a 5-4 advantage, but NLB answered with four of its own in the bottom of the inning to go ahead for good.

NLB took advantage of three walks to open the frame. The Raiders nearly escaped the jam without any damage, but a hit batter and bases-loaded triple broke the game open.

The Raiders (7-12-1) will play NLB again at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence High.
