Lawrence man, 25, held without bond in Sunday downtown stabbing

A Lawrence man was arrested early Sunday after stabbing another man downtown, according to Lawrence police.

Isaac Alexander Taylor, 25, stabbed a 17-year-old man in the neck near Pickleman’s restaurant on Massachusetts Street just before midnight Saturday, Sgt. Amy Rhoads said. Taylor fled the area but was apprehended in the 100 block of East Eighth Street at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Rhoads added.

The victim was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, Rhoads said, noting the victim did not know the suspect.

Taylor was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and was being held in the Douglas County Jail without bond Sunday night.
