Lawrence ArtWalk names new director
Anne Egitto is the new director of the Lawrence ArtWalk, a tour of visual artists’ studios and artwork that has taken place every October since 1995 in Lawrence.
Egitto, a local artist who co-organized last year’s DIY ArtWalk, succeeds John Wysocki in the position. When Wysocki moved back to his native London last year, Egitto and other ArtWalk veterans organized the DIY ArtWalk in his place.
With the goal of surpassing the success of last year’s DIY ArtWalk, Egitto will soon open registration to artists interested in participating in this fall’s 20th annual Lawrence ArtWalk.
Applications will be released through lawrenceartscenter.org, the Lawrence ArtWalk Facebook page and through lawrenceartwalk@gmail.com.
The registration deadline is Aug. 1. The early bird deadline is July 15. For more information, contact Egitto at lawrenceartwalk@gmail.com.
