Gwangju, South Korea ? Former Lawrence High swimmer Emma Reaney finished third in the sixth heat of the 100-meter breaststroke prelims at the World University Games at the Nambu University Aquatics Center in South Korea.

Reaney, who graduated from Notre Dame, finished in 1:09.12, advancing to the 100 breast semifinals, which begin at 7:09 p.m. today (5:09 a.m. CDT). The 100 breast finals are at 7:52 p.m. Monday (5:52 a.m. CDT). Japan’s Mina Matsushima recorded the fastest time in prelims at 1:07.95.
