Prairie Village — Zach McDermott was the sole Bishop Seabury Academy player in double figures with 16, but an improved defensive performance and cutting down on turnovers helped Seabury rebound from a loss Tuesday to outlast Kansas City (Kan.) Christian on Friday.

“Today it was all about ball security,” Seabury head coach Ashley Battles said.

Battles said the Sea-hawks are also a little closer to getting leading scorer Mikey Wycoff back from injury, saying that the sophomore could return in “another week or so.”

The Seahawks (8-5) will play at Council Grove at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Eudora — A balanced offensive attack helped Veritas Christian edge Topeka Cair Paravel.

Miles Dressler led a group of four Eagles who scored in double figures with 21 points. Kalim Dowdell recorded another double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds, and Drake Napier and Chad Stieben added 16 points apiece.

Veritas (14-3) will host Manhattan CHIEF at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Eudora — Tori Huslig led all scorers with 27 points, but it was not enough to push Veritas Christian past Cair Paravel.

Emma Wilson was a point shy of reaching double figures with nine points for the Eagles.

Peyton Williams scored 21 points for Cair Paravel, and Amanda Heibert and Kayla Stone added 16 and 12, respectively.

Veritas (7-7) will host Chanute Christian at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Eudora.

Prairie Village — Regan Zarenba scored 12 points in a losing cause for Seabury.

The Seahawks (2-10) will play Tuesday at Council Grove.
