J.B. Elliott is stepping down from his position as the principal of Perry-Lecompton High School to become the district’s curriculum director, according to Superintendent Denis Yoder.

The Perry-Lecompton school board will have an executive session Wednesday to interview candidates to replace him. The board will meet in closed session at 8 a.m. at the district offices, 205 W. Bridge St. in Perry.

Elliott will finish out the year as principal. He first arrived at the Perry-Lecompton district as a co-principal of the high school in 2006.
