Seabury boys take McLouth crown

? Bishop Seabury Academy’s boys basketball team won the championship of the McLouth Tournament on Saturday night with a 53-43 victory over Olathe Heritage Christian.

Thomas DiZerega scored 21 point to lead the Seahawks, Zach McDermott added 13 points, and Bryce Stewart scored 11.

Seabury played without leading scorer Mikey Wycoff, who missed the game because of an ankle sprain.

“Everybody stepped up,” Seabury coach Ashley Battles said. “Literally, everybody that played just locked in. We were trying to be the best we could be. I think the main thing was our point-guard play was the best we’ve had all year. Bryce Stewart was kind of running the show on that.”

McDermott, Wycoff and Thomas Uhler were named to the all-tournament team.
