KU swimmers third at Big 12

Kansas University claimed third place Saturday in the Big 12 women’s swimming and diving championships.

Texas won the team title with 1,082.5 points, followed by Iowa State (618.5), Kansas (589), West Virginia (481) and TCU (458).

The Jayhawks earned seven second-place finishes — three from Chelsie Miller, two from Yulduz Kuchkarova, and two relays teams.

Kuchkarova was second in the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday, swimming a career-best time of 1:56.16.
