Park City ? The city won’t produce a single state high school wrestling champion this season.

Each Class 6A city high school advanced one wrestler to the semifinals of the state meet Friday, but each suffered a one-point loss.

Free State High’s Tate Steele fell to Wichita South’s Dallas Wilson, 2-1, in the 106-pound semifinals, and Lawrence High’s Alan Clothier dropped a 4-3 decision to Dodge City’s Jhett Ostrom at 182.

It was the first loss of the season for Clothier, the defending state champion. He was 40-1 on the season.

Free State’s Shayn Morris (113 pounds), Cameron Shanks (120) and Isaiah Jacobs (126) and Lawrence High’s Tucker Wilson (160) won first-round matches but lost in the quarterfinals.
