Manhattan ? Chad Stieben scored 17 points, and Miles Dressler added 14 as Veritas Christian defeated Manhattan CHIEF, 66-50, on Saturday in high school boys basketball.

Kalim Dowdell added 12 points, and Michael Rask scored nine for the Eagles.

Veritas built a 31-25 halftime lead, then outscored Manhattan 18-6 in the third quarter.

The Eagles won their seventh straight and finished the regular season 21-4. They will meet Manhattan CHIEF again on Thursday in the KCAA state tournament in Salina.

“We had a great regular season, probably one our best in history,” Veritas coach Carl Huslig said.
