Business Briefcase for Feb. 23

Sunflower Bank will present the Yellow Ribbon Fund with a $50,000 check on Thursday to support injured service members and their families. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the bank’s corporate office, 3025 Cortland Circle, in Salina. It is free to attend and open to anyone wishing to honor veterans and their families.

The American Automobile Association has announced Linda Stroud, of the AAA office in Lawrence, as the company’s insurance agent of the year. Stroud was recognized for her excellence in service, sales production and business retention. She has worked with AAA for 27 years.

Callahan Creek Marketing Agency has hired Krista Thorson and Amanda Johnson. Both Thorson and Johnson are Kansas University graduates. Previously of the Concorde Career Colleges, Fred Pryor Seminars and Staples Promotional Products, Thorson will work as a senior account manager. Johnson, formerly of Knology/WOW, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, will work as an account manager.
