Free State girls win, boys second at bowling tri

? Free State High earned two individual runner-up finishes and a team title at the Lansing bowling triangular on Monday.

Bri Martin placed second with a 556 series to pace the FHS girls to the team win. Jamie Souders (fifth, 509), Sarah Pesce (eighth, 427) and Ashley Givens (10th, 408) rounded out the Firebirds’ scores.

On the boys side, Free State’s Alex Jimenez was second at 673 and was followed by Eric Glogau (third, 626), Matthew Eagle (fourth, 608) and Matt Meseke (sixth, 567), but Lansing edged FSHS, 2493-2474 for the team title.
