Police searching for missing Lawrence teen

The Lawrence Police Department is searching for a teen who has gone missing for the second time in three months.

Jeremiah Boldridge, 15, of Lawrence, ran away from O’Connell Youth Ranch, which helps at-risk boys from across the state, on Jan. 23, according to a Facebook Group set up after his disappearance. He is 5 feet 8 inches and weighs 110 pounds.

In November, he ran away from his grandmother’s house and was located eight days later.

The Facebook group said Boldridge packed all of his belongings before he left the ranch. Within 20 minutes of his disappearance, he contacted his grandmother to tell his mother that he loved her and that he was OK, according to the Facebook group and a poster from Kansas Missing and Exploited Children.

He promised to call his mother the day of his disappearance, the Facebook group said, but has not contacted her since.

Those with information regarding Boldridge’s disappearance are asked to call the police at 785-832-7509 or CrimeStoppers at 785-843-TIPS (8477). Calls to CrimeStoppers can be made anonymously.
