Kansas City, Kan. — Lawrence High’s girls basketball team won its second game in as many days, going on the road to beat Kansas City (Kan.) Wyandotte on Tuesday, 87-12.

The Lions (3-2) will face Free State in the City Showdown at 5:30 p.m. Friday at LHS.

Gardner — Tori Huslig was the lone Eagle in double figures with 12 points as Veritas Christian lost to Metro Academy.

Kalim Dowdell, Trey Huslig and Chad Stieben joined Dressler in double figures with 13, 11 and 10 points respectively.

Nick Volz paced Metro with 32 points.
