KU Crime Blotter: Week of Nov. 30 through Dec. 6

The following incidents were reported to the Kansas University Office of Public Safety between Monday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 6. Incidents are listed by the dates they were reported.

Dec. 6

• Disorderly conduct occurred about 3:30 a.m. Dec. 6 at Lewis Hall. Someone discharged a fire extinguisher into a room. The subject was issued a notice to appear.

• Police arrested someone for driving under the influence about 2 a.m. Dec. 6 in the 1600 block of Naismith Drive. The driver hit a light pole in the parking lot, refused a breath test and was found to be under the influence alcohol.

• Someone entered an unlocked room during the morning of Dec. 6 at Oliver Hall, while the resident was home, and stole a wallet containing $220.

Dec. 5

• Someone stole a laptop left unattended on Dec. 5 at Watson Library. Loss was estimated at $1,015.

Dec. 3

• A vehicle that previously was reported stolen was located about 6 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 1600 block of Stewart Drive. The vehicle had damage to the front windshield, and the license plates had been stolen. Damage was estimated at $300.

Dec. 2

• Police found a car full of people, including at least one minor, consuming liquor in public and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia about 11:45 p.m. Dec. 2. The car was parked in the lot at 1100 JRP Drive. Police made an arrest.

• Someone stole a coat and scarf sometime on Nov. 23 from a classroom in Stauffer-Flint Hall. Loss was estimated at $380.

Dec. 1

• A drug offense occurred about 8 p.m. Dec. 1 at Jayhawker Towers apartments. Someone was found in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and arrested.

Nov. 30

• Someone took items out of an unsecured vehicle between Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 in the 1700 block of Engel Road. Loss was estimated at $175.
