Lawrence police are investigating a domestic incident in which a woman was injured Saturday afternoon.

About 4 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing near the 1300 block of 23rd Street. The victim, who was not stabbed, according to Lawrence police Sgt. Ryan Halsted, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

As of 4:15 p.m., police were looking for a suspect. No description of the suspect was available; however, the suspect was not believed to pose any danger to the public, Halsted said.
