Style Scout: Robert Stauffer

Name: Robert Stauffer

Age: 25

Relationship status: Single

Hometown: Fairfax, Va.

Time in Lawrence: Six years

Occupation: About to graduate (with a degree in marketing)

Dream job: Brand manager

Describe your style: I’m a huge fan of scarves. Pretty casual; sleeping pants a lot. I have this Mickey Mouse pair of pajama pants I usually wear on test days for good luck.

Fashion trends you love: I think comfortable is probably a go-to; old school — like maybe brands that aren’t around much anymore, or aren’t as popular.

Fashion trends you hate: Really big sunglasses, and really overly-fuzzy boots.

Fashion influences: My brother — every Christmas he gets me clothes.

What are your favorite and least favorite things about Lawrence? The community is nice. It’s an interesting dichotomy between students and actual residents. Obviously, KU basketball. Dislikes? I guess how many times stores are changing on Mass. Street — it’s hard to keep track of them.

Tattoos or piercings: None

What’s your spirit animal? Panda bear, because they’re relaxed but they’re also very aggressive, which is cool. And culturally speaking, we obviously have to interact with zoos from other countries to get them here, and that shows a sense of global community.

Whom do people say you look like? Someone said I look like some country singer once, but I didn’t know who it was and I didn’t look them up.

Tell us a secret: I think a smile is probably the most important asset a person has.
