Lawrence Therapy Services has announced Elise Umbarger as the organization’s newest staff physical therapist. Umbarger is a 2015 graduate of the Kansas University Physical Therapy Graduate Program. She will treat adults with sports injuries, orthopedic problems and neurological conditions.

OrthoKansas, LLC, has announced Jamie Surmin as the organization’s physician assistant. Surmin holds a bachelor of science degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida and a master of medical science in physician assistant studies from the Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Interior Store, specializing in custom window fashions, upholstery, bed coverings, furniture and design consultation, has moved to a new location. The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence has announced Alissa Baur as the newest member to the team. Baur has worked as the assistant communications director for Kansas Athletics since 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Kansas University and a master’s degree in sports management from Wichita State University.

TherapyWorks physical therapist Sarah White-Hamilton recently attended a pelvic floor continuing education course in Omaha, Neb. The three-day course aims to teach research-based treatment methods for pelvic floor stress, urge and mixed incontinence, bladder health, treatment of pelvic floor pain and treatment of prolapse.
