Kansas City man, 22, arrested at Lawrence grocery store on suspicion of drug, forgery crimes

A Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested Sunday at a Lawrence grocery store on suspicion of several drug- and forgery-related offenses.

Charles Clinton Roark III, 22, was taken into custody about 4:30 p.m. at the Hy-Vee at 3504 Clinton Parkway, according to the Douglas County Jail booking log.

Roark was being held in the Douglas County Jail on a $27,000 bond on suspicion of five counts of forgery, three counts of unlawfully obtaining or selling a prescription-only drug and one count of unlawful possession of controlled substances, the log said.
