A 74-year-old rural Lawrence man died Monday morning in an accident while mowing trails near Lake Perry.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig said Andrew Baux was driving a tractor pulling a mowing device when he became pinned under the mower. Herrig said two horseback riders discovered Baux around 10 a.m. and called for help, according to WIBW.

He said Baux was a volunteer mower at Lake Perry.
