Topeka ? Lawrence High’s boys tennis team tied Shawnee Heights and Topeka Seaman, 2-2, and lost to Topeka West, 3-1, on Tuesday in the Seaman quadrangular.

Elliott Abromeit went 3-0 at No. 1 singles, and Zach Bowie was 2-1 at No. 2 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team Jonathan Kinder and Michael Braman and the No. 2 doubles team of Chanse Bowie and Sam Allen each went 0-3.

“We had opportunities to win in doubles. We showed some improvement,” LHS coach Chris Marshall said. “We’re getting there. It’s a learning process. I was very pleased with singles. I was glad to see Zach put it together and win some matches.”

The Lions will play in the Sunflower League tournament Thursday at Indian Creek and Shawnee Mission South.
