Olathe ? Dacia Starr hit a three-run home run for the Free State High softball team’s only runs Tuesday in a doubleheader loss to Olathe South.

The Firebirds fell, 6-0 and 4-3.

Starr’s home run highlighted a three-run first inning in the nightcap. But that was the only inning in which the Firebirds scored.

“We only had two hits after that,” FSHS coach Lee Ice said. “We had opportunities.”

The Firebirds (7-6) will play Tuesday at Olathe East.
