Free State senior football standout Scott Frantz was honored as a Scholar Athlete by the National Football Foundation on Monday.

Frantz, a first-team All-Sunflower League selection and Kansas State signee, was presented with the award by Kansas State football coach Bill Snyder at the awards banquet in Manhattan.
