Olathe ? Dacia Starr hit a two-out, three-run home run in the sixth inning, and Free State defeated Blue Valley, 3-2, in high school softball Saturday in the Shawnee Mission South Jamboree.

The Firebirds routed Blue Valley West, 10-2, earlier Saturday.

Kate Stanwix, Cali Byrn and Mayah Daniels eached homered against Blue Valley West, and Starr hit two doubles.

Elizabeth Patton (6-3) earned the victory against BV West. Daniels (1-0) was the winner against Blue Valley, with Patton recording her first save.

The Firebirds (7-4) will be on the road Tuesday to face Olathe South.
