Girls Rock! Lawrence has opened registration for its inaugural summer camp, which will take place June 1-5 at St. John’s School, 1208 Kentucky St.

The day camp, which aims to empower girls through music, welcomes “female-identified individuals” ages 13 to 18 of all skill levels. Campers will form bands and collaborate on original music from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week, resulting in a showcase performance June 6 at the Bottleneck, 737 New Hampshire St.

Workshops will include topics such as song-writing, band promotion, team-building, feminism, yoga, self-defense, self-expression and more.
