Ten Kansas University golfers were named to the Academic All-Big 12 teams, the conference announced Friday.

On the women’s side, five golfers were named to the first team: seniors Gabriella DiMarco, Michelle Woods, Minami Levonowich and Carly Humes and junior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn.

There were 27 women’s golf academic all-league student-athletes named, with 24 first-team members and three on the second squad.

On the men’s side, red-shirt freshman Brock Drogosch, sophomore Chase Hanna and junior Connor Peck were selected to the first team, while seniors Logan Philley and Bryce Brown were second-team honorees.

The league honored 33 men’s golfers on its all-academic teams.

To qualify for Academic All-Big 12, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their scheduled contests. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.

First-team members consist of those student-athletes who have maintained a 3.20 or better grade-point average, while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
