FSHS baseball romps, 19-0
Overland Park ? Free State High’s baseball team scored in every inning en route to a 19-0 victory Thursday over Shawnee Mission North.
The Firebirds collected 19 hits in the five-inning, rule-rule triumph.
Joel Spain went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and five RBIs, Hunter Gudde was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Jon Saathoff was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
Tripp Wright (1-0) pitched four scoreless innings.
” I liked our approach and aggressiveness at the plate,” FSHS coach Mike Hill said. “We had a lot of hard hits. And we played well defensively.
The Firebirds (7-2) will play at Olathe East on Monday.
