LHS soccer falls to SME

? Lawrence High’s girls soccer team could not keep up with Shawnee Mission East in the second half of Wednesday’s 7-1 setback.

The Lions trailed, 1-0, at halftime, thanks to an own goal that put SM East on the board, but things continued to spiral downhill in the second half for LHS as the Lancers scored six times.

Sophomore Skylar Drum found the back of the net for the Lions to prevent to shutout.

LHS (3-3) will try to bounce back on Thursday at Shawnee Mission West.
