Free State’s Houk paces city golfers at SME

Overland Park ? Free State High’s Coleman Houk shot an 80 to tie for 17th to pace all city golfers at the Shawnee Mission East Invitational on Monday at Milburn Country Club.

FSHS placed sixth in the team race at 330. Blue Valley North won with 310.

Lawrence High was 13th at 340.

Dawson Dykes and Cole Brungardt each shot 82 to tie for 25th to lead the Lions.

Two Firebirds, too, were in a five-way tie for 25th at 82 — Jack Flynn and Jack Junge.
