Goddard ? Free State High’s doubles tennis team of Ian Pultz-Earle and Erik Czapinski placed third to pace the Firebirds to a ninth-place finish at the 15-team John Markham Spring Classic on Saturday.

Free State’s other doubles team of David Neff and Declan Forth placed 25th.

On the singles side, Free State’s Seamus Ryan placed 20th, and Manuel Solis was 25th.
