LHS tennis 1-2 at Seaman quad
Topeka ? Lawrence High’s boys tennis team went 1-2 Wednesday at the Topeka Seaman quadrangular.
The Lions defeated Topeka West, 4-0, and lost to Washburn Rural, 4-0, and to Seaman, 3-1.
In singles, Elliott Abromeit went 2-1, and Brendan Connor was 1-0.
“Elliott Abromeit played well for us at No. 1 singles,” LHS coach Chris Marshall said. “We’re still working out some of the kinks, so we’re trying to learn from the experience. We’re not quite to where we were last year. This is year of learning and maturing. We’re progressing.”
The Lions will host Free State on Tuesday.
