Olathe ? Lawrence High’s baseball team withstood a furious seventh-inning rally from Olathe North to defeat the Eagles, 8-7, Thursday at ONW.

The Lions took an 8-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, but the Eagles made things interesting with a six-run seventh.

Michael Sinks was able to close it out for LHS to seal the win for starter Nick Haynes.

Nyle Anderson and Nate Hulse each had two hits for the Lions, while Brad Kincaid had a team-high two RBIs.

LHS, 2-5, will host Shawnee Mission South on Tuesday.
