Lawrence Public Works Department to host meeting on traffic concerns for Bob Billings Parkway and Kasold Drive

The Lawrence Public Works Department is looking for feedback on neighborhood traffic along Bob Billings Parkway and a stretch of Kasold Drive to Kansas Highway 10, the department said in a release.

The department will host an open meeting from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 15 at Langston Hughes Elementary School, 1101 George Williams Way, to discuss the approaching completion of the interchange project between K-10 and Bob Billings Parkway, the release said. The project is slated to be finished by December.

The department will also discuss a budgeted $2.25 million for a 2016 corridor project to improve safety with intersection sight distance, access control and pavement maintenance.

Updates will also be provided on several different projects along Bob Billings Parkway, the release said.
