LHS volleyball splits at SMNW

? Lawrence High split a pair of volleyball matches Thursday at a Shawnee Mission Northwest triangular.

The Lions defeated Northwest, 25-21, 19-25, 25-13, and fell to Olathe East, 25-10, 25-19.

Leading the Lions were Keeli Billings with 11 kills and 16 digs, Caroline Dykes with 13 kills, Marlee Bird with 15 assists and 10 digs and Laurel Bird with 18 assists and eight digs.

“It was nice to play again,” LHS coach Stephanie Magnuson said. “We’ve been off for about a week, and it was good to get back on the floor.”

The Lions (7-11) will play at home Tuesday against Shawnee Mission North and Leavenworth.
