FSHS soccer to resume tonight

Free State’s boys soccer team had a lot of scoring opportunities but will have to wait until tonight for a chance to put something on the scoreboard.

The Firebirds were scoreless against Shawnee Mission North before the match was postponed with 11:48 remaining in the first half because of lightning. It will resume at 7 tonight at FSHS at the same point when the match was stopped.

Free State was outshooting the Indians, 12-1, and had shots from sophomore Heitor Nazareth and senior Daniel Clarke just go wide of the net.Junior Will Laufer also had a strong strike from just outside of the 18-yard box snagged by SM North’s goalkeeper.
