North Lawrence house fire quickly brought under control

Lawrence firefighters were able to quickly knock down a house fire early Friday in North Lawrence.

A neighbor on Lincoln Street called 911 about 2:15 to report a house in the 500 block Perry Street was on fire.

Lawrence police arrived to report heavy fire from the back of the home at 541 Perry Street. Police were unable to get inside the home due to locked doors.

Firefighters forced entry into the home and began putting water on the fire. No one was found inside during a primary search.

The fire was declared under control at 2:34 a.m.. No injuries have been reported.
